Jacksonville and St. Augustine Fishing Charters

What is included in my fishing trip?
Atlantic Coast Charters will provide fishing rods and reels, bait, tackle, Florida and Federal Fishing License, ice, and fish cleaning service to each guest.

What should I bring?
Charter guests should bring something to eat and drink. Sandwiches, soft drinks and beer are suggested for ease. Please note that liquor is not allowed on the boat. Sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, and Dramamine is also a good idea for those prone to
sea sickness. Jackets and long pants will be a plus in the early morning hours and finally…don't forget to bring your camera!

What should I do for sea sickness?
There are many over-the-counter drugs to help eliminate the effects of motion sickness and ensure that you have a great day on the water. Contact your pharmacist for available drugs and follow the prescribed dosage. Dramamine seems to be the choice for many of our repeat customers.

How many years experience does the Captain have?
Captain Ron is a Coast Guard certified captain and a native of Jacksonville Beach. He grew up fishing the waters of Northeast Florida for over 25 years and owned and operated his first commercial dive boat right out of high school in 1982. He is as comfortable swimming with the fish as he is catching them and his “tall tales” on the high seas will keep you entertained for the duration. Working on different tournament Sportfish boats on the East coast and the Bahamas earned him a reputation for catching fish and having a good time doing it. He’s fished with and learned from some world-renowned captains and mates in Florida, North Carolina, Bahamas, and Mexico, winning and placing in many Marlin and Kingfish tournaments in the states and abroad. With the construction of the MISS DAISY in 1999, Captain Ron started Atlantic Coast Charters and has been enjoying a full-time fishing charter business ever since.

How do I book a trip?
Please contact us at (904) 744-2999 or e-mail us at captronacc@comcast.net. Leave us your name, cell phone number and the preferred dates for the charter. If you get our answering service, we will be sure and call you back within 24-hours for trip confirmation. Trips are reserved with a $300.00 credit card deposit (Visa, Master Card, or American Express) but full payment is received the day of your trip in cash or credit card. For security reasons, please do not e-mail any credit card information to us.

We advise all of our guests to book charters as far in advance as possible to lock in desired dates. Deposits will be refunded with a 7-day notice by the customer or if the Captain cancels the trip due to inclement weather and you don’t want to reschedule. Our preference is to reschedule the charter at a future date so we will work with you to choose a date and time that suit your needs.

What types of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Cash. No personal checks are accepted.

What is the cancellation policy?
Safety is our number one concern. Our policy is to fish every day possible, but some days the weather doesn’t cooperate and its unsafe to go offshore. Under these circumstances, we will try to rebook the trip for another day. If we cannot find a day that is suitable to our guests, we will refund your deposit. Any cancellations of charter trips due to poor weather conditions (small craft advisories, tropical storms or hurricanes) are fully refundable. For this reason please be sure to confirm fishing trips before traveling to the fishing destination.

Also note that no-shows will be charged the full price of the scheduled charter. If the customer cancels within 24-hours, they will be charged the full rate of the scheduled trip! A minimum of 7-days notice is required to cancel a trip and receive a refund of the deposit.
